Designates July 16 as Atomic Veterans Day in Minnesota to honor U.S. armed forces veterans exposed to radiation during their service.

Includes veterans designated as "Atomic Veterans" by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs who served in occupation forces at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan after atomic bomb detonation or were prisoners of war housed near those cities.

Honors veterans involved in radiation exposure events from underground or shaft nuclear weapon tests, and those with regular duties involving radiation equipment such as nuclear aircraft carrier and submarine technicians, x-ray technicians, and Enewetak Atoll cleanup workers.

Adds new statute section 10.583 to Minnesota Statutes, chapter 10.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
