Amends Minnesota Statutes section 326.02, subdivision 3 to clarify licensing requirements for professional engineers in Minnesota.

Prohibits unlicensed persons from using the term "professional engineer," abbreviations such as "P.E." or "PE," or any representation that would lead the public to believe they are a licensed professional engineer.

Establishes that a professional engineering license satisfies state and local requirements to perform actions authorized under that license, preventing unnecessary additional licensing requirements.

Requires the state or political subdivisions to make an affirmative written determination in statute, rule, or ordinance that additional licenses or certifications are necessary to safeguard life, health, or property before requiring them beyond the professional engineering license.

Exempts practice areas that already required licenses or certifications prior to August 1, 2015 from these new provisions, with the bill taking effect on August 1, 2015.
