Proposes a new Section 18 to Article I of the Minnesota Constitution stating: "Equality under the law shall not be abridged or denied on account of gender."

Requires submission of the proposed amendment to voters at the 2016 general election with the ballot question: "Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to provide that equality under the law must not be abridged or denied on account of gender?"

Amendment becomes effective January 1, 2017, if ratified by voters.

The ballot measure shall be titled "Equal Rights Amendment" as required by Minnesota Statutes, section 204D.15, subdivision 1.
