• Replaces "U.S. public land survey monument record" terminology with "certificate of location of government corner" throughout statutes and specifies required elements for these certificates including methods used and directions to other corners.

• Modifies notarial requirements for plats, registered land surveys, and CIC plats to allow recording without notarial stamp if certificate of notarial act includes jurisdiction, officer name/title, and commission expiration date printed in pen and ink or typewritten.

• Repeals outdated statutory subdivisions regarding manner of corner placement and filing procedures for certificates, consolidating these provisions into modernized sections 160.15 and 381.12.
