Members of standing committees and subcommittees of the Minnesota Senate, and their employees, may be reimbursed for attending meetings and seminars during the 2016 session of the 89th Legislature upon approval by the Committee on Rules and Administration or its chair.

Eligible meetings and seminars include those of the National Conference of State Legislatures and the Council of State Governments and their committees, covering subjects within the standing committee or subcommittee's jurisdiction.

Expenses for attending these meetings and seminars are paid by the Secretary of the Senate using warrants drawn on the Senate legislative expense fund.
