Recognizes Glen Gust's 40th anniversary of operating Glen's Food Center in Luverne, Minnesota, which began on March 27, 1976.

Glen started his grocery career at age 7 delivering bread, worked through high school and college at various grocery stores, served in Vietnam in 1969, and purchased Carl's Jack and Jill grocery store in Luverne in 1976.

Expanded the business through store renovations and relocations, including a 4,000 square foot expansion in 1992, 2,500 square foot expansion in 1998, and relocation to a new downtown location in 2003.

Named Minnesota Grocer of the Year in 1999 and installed as chairman of the Minnesota Grocers Association board in 2012; donates $35,000 to $90,000 annually to community causes and organizations.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and transmit an enrolled copy of this resolution to Glen Gust.
