Cities that post ordinances on their websites must post proposed ordinances at least 10 days before the city council meeting scheduled for final vote.

Cities without an electronic notification system must post notice of proposed ordinances in the same location as other public notices at least 10 days before the final vote.

Cities with an electronic notification system must email notice of proposed ordinances to residents who have signed up for e-mail notification at least 10 days before the final vote.

Cities must inform business license applicants and renewal applicants about the email notification procedure for proposed ordinances.

Failure to provide required notice does not invalidate any adopted ordinance, and interim ordinances are exempt from these notice requirements.
