$12,500,000 appropriated from the bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund to the commissioner of transportation for trunk highway projects in Hennepin County

Funds may be used for preliminary and final design, engineering, environmental analysis, right-of-way acquisition, construction, and reconstruction to improve intersections or enhance safety

Eligible projects limited to trunk highway segments with annual average daily traffic exceeding 16,000 vehicles, severe and fatal crash rates greater than 2.25 percent, and fatality rates exceeding an average of three deaths per mile within an eight-mile segment

Commissioner of management and budget authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to $12,500,000 to provide funding, with proceeds deposited in the trunk highway fund bond proceeds account
