Appropriates $522,500 for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 from the general fund to the commissioner of administration for community service grants to public educational radio stations.

Appropriates $159,750 for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 from the general fund for equipment grants to public educational radio stations for purchase, repair, and rental of equipment including items under $500.

Prohibits institutions and governing bodies from claiming indirect costs on either grant program.

Requires grants to be allocated after considering recommendations from the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.14.
