Commissioner of Natural Resources shall determine whether and to what extent neonicotinoid pesticides are present in wild deer tissue in Minnesota, in consultation with commissioners of agriculture and health, University of Minnesota, other land grant universities, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Commissioner of Natural Resources must report findings to legislative committees with jurisdiction over natural resources, agriculture, and health no later than February 15, 2018.

Unspecified amount from the game and fish fund is appropriated to the Commissioner of Natural Resources in fiscal year 2018 for the study.

Unspecified amount from the pesticide regulatory account in the agricultural fund is appropriated to the Commissioner of Agriculture in fiscal year 2018 for laboratory work required under the study.
