Amends Minnesota Statutes section 97B.951 to prohibit use of snares to take wild animals except as authorized by the commissioner for the predator-control program under section 97B.671.

Expands the prohibition beyond unprotected mammals to cover all wild animals, replacing language that previously limited restrictions to unprotected mammals and set a March 31 deadline for snare removal.

Repeals Minnesota Statutes section 97B.421, which previously required a permit from the commissioner to use snares to take bears.

Creates a general prohibition on snare use for all wild animals while preserving commissioner authority to authorize snare use for predator-control purposes.
