Prohibits the sale of products containing 1,1-difluoroethane (DFE) to persons under age 18, making such sales a petty misdemeanor.

Provides an affirmative defense if the seller reasonably and in good faith relied on age verification as described in section 340A.503, subdivision 6.

Requires retail businesses offering DFE products for sale to display a conspicuous notice stating: "It is a petty misdemeanor for a person to sell a product containing 1,1-difluoroethane (DFE) to a person under the age of 18."

Allows businesses to omit references to toxic substances they do not sell from existing notice requirements.

Effective August 1, 2018, for acts committed on or after that date.
