Appropriates $7,600,000 from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Minneapolis American Indian Center.

Funds design, renovation, and expansion of the center located on Franklin Avenue.

Project scope includes demolition work, mechanical and electrical system improvements, roof and exterior repairs, site improvements, interior renovation, and expansion of café, event, and performance spaces.

Funds furnishing and equipping the center upon completion of the project.

Appropriation is contingent on the commissioner of management and budget determining that sufficient resources have been committed to complete the project as required by Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.502.
