Prohibits pharmacy services contracts between pharmacists/pharmacies and health plan companies or pharmacy benefits managers from penalizing pharmacists for disclosing prescription medication costs to individuals.

Prevents penalties on pharmacists for sharing information about payment criteria used by health plan companies or pharmacy benefits managers.

Prohibits contract provisions that penalize pharmacists for informing individuals about therapeutically equivalent alternative medications or alternative purchasing methods, including cash prices that may be less expensive.

Defines prohibited penalties to include reduced pharmacist payments, increased utilization review, or other financial disincentives designed to encourage use of recommended drugs.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 151.214, by adding new subdivision 3 on reimbursement criteria.
