Prohibits any person from entering into or attempting to enter into agreements that assign military pay or benefits in violation of federal law (U.S. Code title 37, section 701, or title 38, section 5301)

Declares any prohibited agreements void and protects military beneficiaries from being required to repay or return any consideration received under such agreements

Applies to current or former enlisted members and officers of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps; their spouses; and individuals considered beneficiaries of military benefits

Subjects violators to penalties and remedies provided under Minnesota Statutes section 8.31

Adds new law to Minnesota Statutes chapter 325F as a consumer protection measure
