Adds subdivision (g) to Minnesota Statutes 273.124, subdivision 13, allowing property owners to use an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) issued by the Internal Revenue Service as a substitute for a Social Security number on homestead applications.

Requires that when an owner uses an ITIN in place of a Social Security number, the ITIN must be used consistently in all reports to the commissioner of revenue that would otherwise require reporting of the Social Security number.

Applies to homestead applications and related filings for subdivisions 13 to 13d of the statute.

Effective for assessment year 2018 and thereafter.
