Amends Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 160.295, subdivision 5, to modify eligibility requirements for specific service signs on rural agricultural and tourist-oriented businesses.

Rural agricultural or tourist-oriented businesses must be open a minimum of eight hours per day, six days per week, and 12 months per year to qualify for a specific service sign.

Seasonal businesses may qualify if open eight hours per day and six days per week during the normal seasonal period, rather than the full 12-month requirement.

Farm wineries serviced by a specific service sign must be licensed under section 340A.315 and by the Department of Health under section 157.16, provide continuous staffed food service, and be open at least four hours per day and two days per week.

The effective date is the day following final enactment.
