HF 3473 Summary

• Amends Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 216E.04, subdivision 2 to add a new category of projects eligible for alternative review procedures.

• Adds high-voltage transmission lines in excess of 200 kilovolts to the list of applicable projects if the applicant demonstrates secured voluntary easements or other agreements with all landowners within the proposed right-of-way.

• Allows applicants to qualify for alternative review by obtaining landowner consent rather than going through standard regulatory procedures.

• Also adds large electric power generating plants powered by solar energy as an applicable project category.
