Directs the secretary of state to collect veteran status information from applicants for appointments to state agencies, boards, councils, commissions, and task forces.

Requires veteran status data to be included in membership rosters and demographic breakdowns reported to the governor and legislature annually.

Makes veteran status an optional field on nomination and application forms for agency appointments, with applicants able to voluntarily provide or withhold this information.

Applies to both existing agencies and newly created agencies, requiring chairs or appointing authorities to submit veteran status data in electronic format.

Amends Minnesota Statutes sections 15.0597 (subdivisions 2, 5, and 7) and 15.0599 (subdivision 4) to incorporate veteran status alongside existing demographic data collection requirements.
