School boards must provide a durable poster or framed copy of "In God We Trust" for display in each school building in the district, to the extent funds are available.

School boards may accept nonpublic funds or in-kind contributions to implement the national motto display requirement.

The Office of the Attorney General must defend any court challenges to the display of the national motto, and schools and school boards are held harmless for complying with this requirement.

Charter schools must comply with the national motto requirement under the same conditions as traditional school districts.
