• Appropriates $11,000,000 from bond proceeds to the commissioner of transportation for passenger rail corridor development work identified in the 2015 State Rail Plan
• Funds are designated to match federal funds for new and expanded passenger rail service, including the Northern Lights Express between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Duluth
• Supports a second daily Amtrak train service between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Chicago
