Ramsey Soil and Water Conservation District is discontinued effective July 1, 2018, with all duties and authorities transferred to the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners.

Ramsey County Board of Commissioners assumes all soil and water conservation district duties and becomes successor to all existing contracts, with automatic substitution as party to those contracts.

District assets are transferred to Ramsey County Board of Commissioners for implementing the transferred duties and authorities.

Ramsey County Board of Commissioners may petition the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources to reestablish the district, or the state board may reestablish it without referendum if conservation goals are not being achieved.

Effective date is the day after Ramsey County's governing body and chief clerical officer complete compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
