Amends Minnesota Statutes section 171.07, subdivision 15 to expand the definition of veterans eligible for a veteran designation on state-issued driver's licenses and identification cards.

Applicants seeking the veteran designation must be a veteran as defined in section 197.447, have a certified copy of discharge papers (DD-214) or other official military personnel file document, and pay the required fee.

Offers two designation options: "Veteran" or "Veteran 100% T&P" for those with 100 percent total and permanent service-connected disability as determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Requires the commissioner of public safety to issue cards with the veteran designation only after entering a new contract or coordinating with production of a new card design with required modifications.
