Amends Minnesota Statutes section 144.121, subdivision 5a to authorize cardiovascular technologists to operate fluoroscopy equipment under specified conditions.

Cardiovascular technologists must be graduates of education programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs using Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology standards.

Authorized technologists may only operate fluoroscopy equipment under direct supervision and in the physical presence of a licensed practitioner for diagnosing or treating cardiovascular diseases or conditions.

Permitted operations include positioning and repositioning patients and equipment, adjusting technique factors, manipulating the image intensifier and x-ray tube, manipulating the collimator, and resetting the timer after the audible signal.

Updates reference language in the exemptions list to include cardiovascular technologists as a new category exempted from the limited x-ray machine operator practice restrictions.
