The Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission must support the preparation and submission of a competitive bid to host an International Ski Federation Nordic World Ski Championship event in Minnesota upon request from U.S. Ski and Snowboard, The Loppet Foundation, or affiliated organizations.

If the event is awarded to Minnesota, the commission must partner with the organizing committee as an event host and may assist with public-private partnerships, sponsor solicitation, public outreach, use of commission facilities as venues, and administrative, technical, logistical, or financial support within available resources.

Within 30 days after a bid is submitted and within 30 days after receiving notice of an award, the commission must notify legislative committee chairs and ranking minority members with jurisdiction over the commission, describing the commission's work and indicating whether supplemental state, local, or other public resources will be sought.

The provision becomes effective the day following final enactment and expires upon conclusion of a Nordic World Ski Championship event hosted in Minnesota.
