• Repeals the state auditor enterprise fund and redirects all examination receipts to the general fund beginning July 1, 2017.

• Transfers existing amounts in the state auditor enterprise fund to the general fund on July 1, 2017.

• Appropriates $6,951,000 from the general fund to the Office of the State Auditor for fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.

• Requires the state auditor to continue billing political subdivisions and counties for examination costs, with payments now credited to the general fund instead of the enterprise fund.

• Requires the state auditor to report to legislative committees by January 15 of each odd-numbered year on anticipated revenues, expenditures, staffing levels, audit rate changes, and number of audit reports and counties audited.
