Amends Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 363A.03, subdivision 43, to clarify the definition of sexual harassment to include unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, sexually motivated physical contact, and other verbal or physical conduct or communication of a sexual nature.

Defines sexual harassment as occurring when submission to such conduct is made a term or condition of obtaining employment, public accommodations, public services, education, or housing, either explicitly or implicitly.

Includes conduct or communication where submission to or rejection by an individual is used as a factor in decisions affecting employment, public accommodations, public services, education, or housing.

Specifies that an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment does not require the harassing conduct or communication to be severe or pervasive.

Effective August 1, 2018, and applies to causes of action arising on or after that date.
