Amends Minnesota Statutes section 609.66, subdivision 1f to establish immunity from prosecution for private firearm transferors who obtain proof of the transferee's eligibility

A private person transferring a pistol or semiautomatic military-style assault weapon is immune from prosecution if they produce a copy of the transferee's permit to carry or permit to purchase presented at time of transfer

Courts may only compel production of transfer documents as part of a criminal investigation involving the transferred firearm

Courts cannot compel a transferor to produce documents more than one year after the date of transfer

The immunity provision applies to the gross misdemeanor offense of transferring a firearm without complying with transfer requirements under section 624.7132
