Appropriates $25,932,000 from bond proceeds to the commissioner of human services for a grant to Hennepin County to design, construct, furnish, and equip a 67,000 square foot regional medical examiner's facility.

Facility shall provide forensic death investigation and autopsy services for Dakota, Hennepin, and Scott Counties with flexibility to accommodate future partner counties and agencies.

Facility shall serve as a teaching facility for forensic pathology and be located in southern Hennepin County to optimize access needs and scene response times for the geographic service area.

Authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to $25,932,000 according to Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and Minnesota Constitution article XI, sections 4 to 7.

Effective the day following final enactment.
