Amends Minnesota Statutes section 383A.289, subdivision 3, to remove the requirement that eligibility terms be "not less than six months," allowing the personnel director discretionary authority to set eligibility periods.

Directs the revisor to replace all references to "personnel department," "department of personnel," "personnel director," and "director of personnel" with corresponding "human resources" terminology throughout chapter 383A, including necessary grammatical adjustments.

Repeals Minnesota Statutes section 383A.295, subdivision 3, which required mandatory retirement of classified and unclassified county employees (except elected officials) no later than the first day of the month after they reach age 70.

Effective upon compliance by the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners and the county's chief clerical officer with Minnesota Statutes section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
