Appropriates $13,000,000 from the general fund to the Department of Education for fiscal year 2018 and $13,000,000 for fiscal year 2019 for grants to eligible schools under the support our students grant program.

Establishes a six-year grant period with the commissioner allocating funds each year to ensure adequate availability throughout the period, with base funding of $13,000,000 for fiscal year 2020 and later.

Allows the commissioner to retain up to $100,000 annually for program administration.

Makes the fiscal year 2018 appropriation available until June 30, 2023, and the fiscal year 2019 appropriation available until June 30, 2024, with remaining balances canceling to the general fund.

Directs the revisor of statutes to codify Laws 2016, chapter 189, article 25, section 56, effective July 1, 2017.
