Amends Minnesota Statutes section 126C.44 to modify the safe schools levy that school districts may impose on taxable property, with a maximum levy of $36 multiplied by the district's adjusted pupil units.

Removes drug abuse prevention programs in elementary schools as a permitted use of safe schools levy funds.

Renumbers and reorganizes the permitted uses of safe schools levy revenue, maintaining existing purposes including peace officer/sheriff liaison services, gang resistance education, school security, crime and drug abuse prevention, mental health professionals, and facility security enhancements.

Adds "voluntary opt-in suicide prevention tools" as a new allowable expense category under crime prevention and violence prevention measures.

Maintains provisions allowing intermediate school districts to levy up to $15 times adjusted pupil units for safe schools activities and requires revenue to be transferred to the intermediate school district.
