Districts and schools may obtain and possess medical oxygen for emergency use, maintained and administered by a school nurse or properly trained personnel to students or other individuals.

Schools storing medical oxygen must label and store it in compliance with United States Food and Drug Administration and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and guidance.

Districts and schools may enter into arrangements with licensed manufacturers and distributors of oxygen and oxygen administration equipment at fair-market, free, or reduced prices.

Third parties, other than manufacturers or suppliers, may pay for a school's supply of oxygen and oxygen administration equipment.

Effective date is August 1, 2017.
