Department of Education must develop a method to evaluate the impact of statewide testing on local resources of school districts and charter schools, including staff, technology, student time, and network access

Department must design the evaluation in collaboration with school districts and charter schools to create a process that minimizes burden on those institutions

Commissioner must report to the chairs and ranking minority members of legislative committees with jurisdiction over early childhood through grade 12 education on the proposed evaluation method, resources needed, and implementation timeline

Report must be submitted in time for the 2018 legislative session

Section becomes effective the day following final enactment
