• Nonresident districts must transport nonresident pupils within their borders if requested, and may transport pupils within the resident district only with a written agreement between both districts.

• Transportation agreements between resident and nonresident districts must require monthly written notification of transported pupils and routes, have a term of no longer than one school year, and be posted on each district's website.

• Resident districts may determine the route, location, and number of bus stops when nonresident districts transport pupils within their boundaries.

• Nonresident districts that transport pupils without a valid agreement or in violation of an agreement face a general education aid reduction equal to 4.66 percent of the basic formula allowance plus the per pupil transportation sparsity allowance for each affected pupil.

• Achievement and integration district transfer applications may be submitted at any time for enrollment beginning at any time, and pupils remain enrolled without annual reapplication.
