School district clerks must post the commissioner's review and comment summary and supplemental information (required under section 123B.71) in the same manner as sample ballots for bond elections financing capital projects, effective August 1, 2018.

Bond proceeds may not be spent for a different purpose or for expansion or contraction that is materially different than the original purpose without majority voter approval on the question of changing or expanding the purpose.

School board ballot questions for bond issuance must state the name of the plan or plans being proposed by the district as submitted to the commissioner of education for review and comment under section 123B.71.

Allows school boards to submit bond propositions as a single ballot question or multiple separate questions for various improvements including site acquisition, new schoolhouse construction, and remodeling of existing schoolhouses, effective August 1, 2018.
