Increases general assistance cash grants effective July 1, 2018, to $457 for a single person and $914 for two people.

Increases MFIP (Minnesota Family Investment Program) transitional standard cash assistance effective July 1, 2018, ranging from $562 for one person to $3,041 for ten people, with $230 per additional person.

Requires the commissioner of human services to adjust both general assistance and MFIP cash assistance annually for inflation beginning in fiscal year 2020, using the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for the prior calendar year.

Appropriates funding from the TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) block grant fund in fiscal year 2019 to the commissioner of human services to implement the increased cash grants.

Amends Minnesota Statutes sections 256D.01 (general assistance standards) and 256J.24 (MFIP transitional standard).
