Directs the secretary of state to collect veteran status data from applicants and nominees for appointments to state agencies, boards, councils, commissions, and task forces.

Requires application forms for agency appointments to include an optional field for applicants to voluntarily disclose veteran status, along with other demographic information.

Mandates the secretary of state to include veteran status information in annual reports to the governor and legislature regarding agency vacancies and appointees.

Requires agency chairs or appointing authorities to report veteran status data (when voluntarily provided) as part of membership rosters and demographic breakdowns for newly established and existing agencies.

Applies veteran status data collection requirements to both existing agencies and newly created agencies under Minnesota Statutes sections 15.0597 and 15.0599.
