Authorizes pharmacists to prescribe tobacco and nicotine cessation products, opiate antagonists for treating opioid overdose, and travel medications recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Requires pharmacists prescribing these products to provide patients with a written record and prohibits delegating prescribing authority to others, though pharmacist interns may prepare prescriptions subject to pharmacist approval.

Mandates the board develop standardized protocols for pharmacist prescribing after consulting with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, Minnesota Board of Nursing, commissioner of health, and relevant professional associations.

Defines "travel medication" as medications recommended by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for individuals traveling outside the United States.

Makes pharmacists authorized prescribers under sections 151.216, 151.252, and 151.461 for purposes of insurance coverage and treatment protocols, with all state and federal insurance coverage laws applicable to pharmacist-prescribed products.
