SF3032 Summary

• Health carriers must notify both providers and enrollees at least 60 days before changing a provider's status from in-network to out-of-network or making any known tier or cost level changes, with notification via U.S. mail or electronic mail.

• Notification must reach each enrollee who has utilized that provider within the previous 12 months from the date of the required notification.

• Health carriers must update their website at least monthly with any provider network changes or tier/cost level changes after required notification has been given.

• Health carriers must reprocess claims as in-network claims if services were provided after a network change took effect but before the change was posted on the website, unless the enrollee was notified of the change prior to service.

• Limitations under Minnesota Statutes section 62Q.56, subdivision 2a, apply to payments required under this provision.
