State assessments developed under Minnesota education law must contain no more than 30 questions.

Computer-adaptive reading and mathematics assessments are required for grades 3 through 8, administered annually and aligned with state academic standards.

High school tests aligned with state academic standards and administered to all high school students must include multiple choice questions.

The commissioner shall establish one or more months during which schools must administer the tests to students each school year.

This amendment becomes effective July 1, 2018.
