Prohibits residential contractors from advertising, promising, or offering to pay all or part of insurance deductibles as an inducement to sell goods or services to insureds.

Requires residential contractors to provide a written explanation of these requirements with their initial estimate to insureds.

Requires adjusters or insurers to provide a written explanation of the deductible payment prohibition in the initial estimate relating to the claim.

Permits insurers to disregard estimates from residential contractors who violate the deductible payment prohibition.

Applies to residential roofers, residential building contractors, and residential remodelers as defined in Minnesota Statutes section 326B.802.
