Amends Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 85.53, subdivision 5, to modify requirements for restoration evaluations funded by the parks and trails fund.

Changes the maximum sample size of habitat restoration projects evaluated annually from "up to ten" to an unspecified limit, removing the numerical cap.

Requires the coordinator's report to the legislative committees to determine if restorations are meeting planned goals, identify implementation problems, and provide recommendations for improving future restorations.

Authorizes use of up to one-tenth of one percent of forecasted parks and trails fund receipts to pay for restoration evaluation activities.

Maintains the technical evaluation panel structure with representatives from the Board of Water and Soil Resources, Department of Natural Resources, University of Minnesota or Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and two project-specific experts.
