Extends medical assistance coverage to include supported employment services for recipients with employment barriers.

Supported employment services include initial evaluation of abilities and barriers, assistance finding employment (resume writing, interview preparation, job search), and ongoing support to sustain employment.

Eligible recipients are referred to the commissioner or managed care organization by their primary care provider, behavioral health home, or other point-of-care provider, with information on service availability and related resources provided at time of referral.

Commissioner or managed care organization may contract with nonprofit organizations to provide all or part of these services.

Commissioner shall seek federal Medicaid waivers (section 1115 and 1915(b)) to obtain federal funding for the supported employment services.
