Amends Minnesota Statutes section 357.021, subdivision 2, to establish a $40 filing fee for actions to renew a judgment on consumer credit transactions as defined in section 491A.01.

The reduced fee applies only when the original judgment has not been satisfied and the renewal action is begun within ten years after the entry of the judgment.

The $40 fee replaces the standard $285 civil action filing fee for this specific category of cases.

Maintains existing fee structures for other civil actions, including the $315 fee for marriage dissolution actions and the $100 jury trial request fee.
