Appropriates $1,000,000 from the general fund to the Department of Education for fiscal year 2019 for incentive grants to public schools and charter schools offering the Congressional Medal of Honor character development program

Commissioner must award grants proportionally to schools that apply, with a maximum of $5,000 per school per fiscal year

If the full appropriation is not expended in fiscal year 2019, the commissioner must award additional grants in fiscal years 2020 and 2021

Grants may be used for any school-related purpose consistent with Minnesota Statutes, section 120B.232

This is a one-time appropriation available until June 30, 2021
