Requires health plans to include coverage for treatment of ectodermal dysplasia, a genetic disorder involving the absence or deficiency of tissues and structures derived from the embryonic ectoderm.

Defines ectodermal dysplasia as a genetic disorder involving the absence or deficiency of tissues and structures derived from the embryonic ectoderm.

Effective January 1, 2019, and applies to health plans offered, issued, or sold on or after that date.

Adds new section 62A.3096 to Minnesota Statutes, chapter 62A.
