Establishes a new special license plate for veterans who are recipients of the Air Medal, inscribed with a facsimile of the medal and bearing the inscription "AIR MEDAL VETERAN" directly below the special plate number.

Adds the Air Medal plate as a new category (m) to Minnesota's existing special veterans license plate program under Minnesota Statutes section 168.123, subdivision 2.

Requires the commissioner of veterans affairs to design the emblem subject to approval by the commissioner of public safety.

Effective January 1, 2019, and applies to Air Medal veteran special license plates issued on or after that date.

Renumbers the women veteran license plate provision from (m) to (n) to accommodate the new Air Medal designation.
