Board of Trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities must contract with one or more independent mental health organizations to provide mental health care on campus at each state university and state college.

Mental health services must be provided without charge to students who are uninsured or whose health insurance does not cover the service provided.

Mental health organizations providing services must also provide information and guidance to students seeking health insurance.

$250,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2019 to the Board of Trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for the required mental health services.
