Changes the radon testing plan from voluntary to mandatory, requiring the commissioners of health and education to jointly develop a plan for school districts to test for radon in kindergarten through grade 12 buildings based on EPA standards.

Requires school districts to include radon testing as part of their ten-year facility plan and conduct testing according to the plan developed by the commissioners of health and education.

Mandates school districts that have tested for radon to report results to both the Department of Health and Department of Education in forms prescribed by the respective commissioners.

Requires school districts that have tested for radon to also report the results at a school board meeting.

Effective for the 2019-2020 school year and later.
